🧠 3 Idea Thursday

Mixpanel for Customer Unit Economics, Surrogacy as a Service, Hanging Christmas Lights

In partnership with

Every week, I spend dozens of hours searching for the best business ideas.

Here are my favorites this week!

🧠 1: Mixpanel for Customer Unit Economics

Don’t be intimidated by the buzz-wordy title. The idea is not only genius, it’s pretty straightforward.

Often we hear about CAC (customer acquisition cost) being the MOST important thing. But what about the total cost of the customer after the sale?

These are things like computing costs, customer service costs, etc…

Someone should create a tool that tracks all the costs associated with a specific customer.

This would be a superpower for early-stage startups.

🧠 2: Surrogacy as a Service

The goal is to turn something that’s currently seen as uncommon or weird, into a mainstream behavior.

Uber made taking rides from strangers normal. Airbnd made staying in a stranger’s house normal.

Someone will do this with surrogacy.

🧠 3: Hanging Christmas Lights

This is a killer thread that got me thinking…

Simple businesses are like a classic grilled cheese sandwich: Are they fancy? No. But they're easy to create and surprisingly good.

That’s all for this week. Please leave me feedback and let me know what you think!
